Spirit certainly lives up to her name—she is definitely spirited! But she is a joy to have around the house. Trinity finally had someone who could keep up with all that Malinois energy, and those two had a ball together, although Trinity was a bit too submissive to her sometimes. When rescue Mal Lainie moved in, however, she had no reservations about putting the little imp in her place! ;-) With Spirit, Trinity, Lainie, Quest, and Justice, there’s never a dull moment around here!
Spirit will be my first conformation show dog, and I co-own her with her breeder, Sherri Wilmoth of Sarron Belgian Sheepdogs. I met Sherri when I was looking for a companion for Magic, and Dickens was available. When I went to see Dickens, I fell in love with his half-sister, Bacardi, and I told Sherri that when Bacardi was bred, I wanted a puppy. That was back in April of 2002, and now I have Spirit, in whom I see a lot of her mama Bacardi.
Sherri and I have become good friends, and I highly value her friendship. I respect her knowledge of Belgians, and I can’t thank her enough for her willingness to share that knowledge with me. I am proud to be owned by two Sarron Belgians.
