General Information

This litter is a co-breeding between Kate Stephenson (Genesis) and Kelley Hoffman (BasqueLaine).  Even though the result of an illicit tryst (sometimes humans make mistakes and the dogs have their own ideas), the pedigree cross is exceptional and a breeding that was already under consideration for the future.  Both parents are OFA certified hips/elbows, CERF clear for eyes, as well as seizure free to date.  We expect these puppies will mature to be lovely dogs with outstanding temperaments.  When mature, they should be calm and easy to live with in the house, but still have suitable drives, biddability, and intelligence for doing whatever activity you might choose to do with them—agility, obedience, herding, tracking, etc.—and, of course most important, being a loving and devoted family companion.

Sire

Dam

The dam of the litter is Genesis-BasqueLaine Catherine Crier CD RN CGC (“Justice”).  I plan for Justice to be my foundation bitch for future breeding.  She is from the Justice litter (George x Jo), co-bred by myself and Kelley Hoffman of BasqueLaine Belgians.

Theme / Registered Names

“Adventure” will be the litter theme.  Some points to remember:  (1) The registered name will start with Genesis-BasqueLaine;  (2) According to AKC, names are limited to 30 total characters, though they have implemented a new program of allowing longer names—for an extra fee, of course;  (3) The registered name must have something to do with “Adventure”, but the call name can, of course, be whatever you choose.  The registered and call names can fit together or have nothing to do with one another...that is entirely up to you.  If you need name suggestions, please let me know, as I have created a sample list to get your creative juices flowing ;-)

If you are interested in a puppy...

If you are interested in an Adventure litter puppy or a future Genesis Belgian Shepherd puppy, please review the prospective puppy buyer information page, and then complete a prospective puppy buyer questionnaire, which will help me get a feel for what you’re looking for.  My goal is to place the right puppy with the right home, so the more information I have, the better able I am to make the right placement decisions.  If you get a puppy from me, I will be available to help you with anything—good or bad!!—for the lifetime of the dog.

 Contracts

If this is your first purebred dog, you may be surprised by some of the contract specifications.  For others, it will be a fairly standard contract.   See Genesis' companion/performance contract or show/performance contract.  Please do not hesitate to contact me concerning any of the contract details about which you may have questions.
